This Privacy Notice describes how the European AV Group GmbH (subsequently "EAV Group") processes and protects the data you provide when using our website according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the relevant German data protection laws, particularly the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
The security of personal data such as name, address, telephone number or email is a serious and important concern for our company. Therefore, we conduct our online activities in compliance with the respective statutory provisions relating to data protection and security. Below, you can find the information we process.
The responsible authority within the meaning of the data protection regulations for all data processing through the EAV Group website is:
European AV Group GmbH, Pfaffenstrasse25, 74078 Heilbronn, Germany
In the event of any questions, comments, complaints, or to exercise your rights as a data subject in connection with our Privacy Notice and the processing of your data by EAV Group's websites, you can contact EAV Group's Data Protection Officer directly by email (info@european-av-group.com). They will gladly take care of your data protection concerns.
Protecting your data is of the highest priority for the EAV Group. You decide whether you wish to make such data known to us during any registration, survey, or the like. Such information on your part is relevant for your enquiry, but you always provide it voluntarily. An exception to this rule is when practical reasons cannot obtain prior consent, and the law permits data processing.
If we obtain the subject's consent to process their data, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing personal data.
When processing personal data necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR shall serve as the legal basis. It also applies to any processing required to perform pre-contractual measures.
If the processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which EAV Group is subject, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR shall serve as the legal basis.
If the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person necessitate the processing of personal data, Article 6 (1)(d) GDPR shall serve as the legal basis.
If processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, except where such interests get overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR shall serve as the legal basis for processing.
Please find more information about data processing using cookies on our website in the section on cookies.
The data subject's data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Data may get stored beyond this point if provisions have been made for this by the European or national legislator in Union regulations, laws, or other rules to which the controller is subject. Data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the standards mentioned above expires unless there is a need for further data storage for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.
We welcome anybody to visit and use our website free of charge and look at the services we offer. When you visit our website, we record the following general usage data to assess which parts of our website you visit and how long you stay there:
Information about the browser type and version used
The user’s operating system
The user’s IP address
Date and time of access
Websites from which the user’ system reaches our website
The services and functions used on our website
The record holds a combination of all visitors' usage data to measure i.E. the number of visitors, the average time of the visits, or the pages visited. The data we collect is combined and used for internal purposes only.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We use this combined data for evaluating our products, services, and the news we make available via our website, as well as for monitoring the use of our website and generally improving its content.
The temporary storage of IP addresses by the system is required to enable the delivery of the website to the user's computer. The user's IP address gets stored for the session's duration to obtain a complete delivery of the website.
Data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, we use the data to optimise the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. These purposes are also the basis for our legitimate interests in data processing according to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The data gets deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for its collection. This process would take effect after no more than seven days if data got stored in log files. Further storage is possible. In this case, the users' IP addresses are deleted or distorted, so it is no longer possible to associate them with the calling client.
Collecting data to provide the website and storing the data in log files is essential for the website's operation. Therefore, the user cannot opt-out.
We have no control over the data collected either voluntarily or involuntarily via advertisements or websites of third parties. Third-party advertisements or links to other websites displayed on our website may collect user data if you click on them or otherwise follow their instructions. We recommend that you read the privacy policies of the promoted websites if you have any concerns regarding the collection and use of your data.
Like many other commercial websites, EAV Group sometimes uses the technology known as "cookies" to collect information on how you use the website and ensure your visit runs smoothly.
Cookies are text files stored on the Internet or from the user's computer system browser. A cookie may be stored on the user's operating system when a user visits a website. This cookie contains a distinctive string that allows the browser to identify when revisiting a website.
Cookies cannot read any information from your computer or interact with other cookies on your hard disk. However, cookies enable us to recognise you when you revisit our website.
You can find the stored cookie data in the cookie settings.
Our website uses transient cookies, persistent cookies, tracking/web bugs and local storage.
Transient cookies get automatically erased when you close your browser. These include the session cookie. Session cookies get erased when you close your browser. A so-called session ID gets stored, assigning various requests from your browser to the joined session. This process enables our website to recognise your computer when you return.
We use transient cookies to make our websites more user-friendly. Some elements on our website require browser identification even after you have moved to a different page.
Our website also uses persistent cookies that enable an analysis of our users' browsing behaviour. For example, they allow transmission of IP addresses and search terms entered, as well as the use of certain website functions. Persistent cookies get automatically erased after a prescribed period, which may vary depending on the cookie.
Most cookies do not save a user's data. However, the user's email address and customer ID may get stored on the server in addition to the cookie ID.
Some of our services also use "tracking bugs", "web bugs", or "tracking pixels". They include code snippets that are usually only 1x1 pixel in size and can identify and detect your browser via the browser ID – your browser's individual "fingerprint". It enables the service provider to track user behaviour on email and website usage.
You can use tools such as webwasher, bugnosys and AdBlock to prevent web bugs on our website. Without your consent, we will not use web bugs to secretly collect your data or share such data with third parties and marketing platforms.
The legal basis for personal data processing using technically necessary cookies is Article 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR.
The purpose of using technically essential cookies is to facilitate the use of websites for users. Some features of our website do not run smoothly without cookies. Recognising the browser for these features is necessary, even after moving to a different page.
The right to object is excluded for technically essential cookies as these are required to display the website and its contents and make its functionalities available.
The user data collected through technically necessary cookies will not get used to create user profiles.
Analysis and marketing cookies are getting used to improve the quality of our website and its contents. Analysis cookies allow us to ascertain how the website is used and thus constantly optimise our service. To perform processing functions on your end device that are based on cookies or other identifiers (e.g. browser fingerprints, pixels) and are not technically necessary for our website to function, we first require your consent, which you can give using the cookie pop-up that appears when you access our website. The legal basis for this cookie-based processing is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with §12(1) TMG (German Telemedia Act), Article 5(3) ePrivacy Directive. These cookies are unnecessary for our website to function and will not take effect until you give your consent.
You can withdraw your consent to using cookies to collect data by deactivating cookies here.
If you do not want your browser to accept cookies, you can also deactivate or restrict cookies. Saved cookies can be deleted or deactivated anytime in your web browser. The deactivation of cookies may prevent this website from functioning correctly. You may not be able to access all the options and information on this website. Please remember that cookies must be deactivated separately in each of the browsers you use.
For more information about how to manage or delete cookies using the settings in your browser, please visit the help page for that browser.

Liability claims against EAV Group relating to material or non-material damage caused by the use or non-use of the information provided or by the use of incorrect or incomplete information are excluded as a matter of principle unless proven that EAV Group acted with intent or gross negligence. All offers are subject to change and non-binding. EAV Group expressly reserves the right to change, supplement, delete or temporarily or permanently cease publication of parts of the site or the entire site without prior notice.
The EAV Group is not responsible for any content linked or referred to or from its pages - unless it has full knowledge of illegal content and would be able to prevent its site visitors from viewing those pages. Therefore, EAV Group expressly declares that the linked pages were free of illegal content when they created the links. EAV Group does not influence the linked pages' current and future design, content and scope. Therefore, EAV Group distances itself from all content of all linked pages that changed after the links got created. This statement applies to all links and references set within the own Internet offer and to external entries in guest books, discussion forums and mailing lists set up by EAV Group. Liability for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and damage due to the use or non-use of such information lies solely with the page provider and not with the person who refers to the publication in question via links.
The EAV Group endeavours observation of the copyrights of graphics, audio files, video sequences and copywriting used in all publications. In addition, EAV Group endeavours to use graphics, sound files, video sequences and copywriting created by EAV Group itself or to use licence-and royalty-free graphics, sound files, video sequences and copy. All brand names and trademarks mentioned on the website and possibly protected by third parties are subject without restriction to the provisions of the applicable trademark law and the ownership rights of the respective registered owners. The mere mention of a trademark does not imply that the rights of third parties do not protect it! The copyright for published objects created by EAV Group remains solely with EAV Group. EAV Group strictly prohibits using elements such as diagrams, graphics, sounds or copywriting in other electronic or printed publications without their consent and agreement.
EAV Group's website uses web fonts and icons provided by Google and FontAwasome for a uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, the browser loads the necessary data into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. Therefore, the browser connects with Google or FontAwesome servers to process and provide information that the website gained accessed via your IP address.
A data subject can subscribe to a corporate newsletter on EAV Group's website. The input mask used for the purpose specifies the data submitted by the data subject.
EAV Group frequently informs its customers and business partners about corporate news and events through a newsletter service. A data subject may only receive our newsletter if:
1. the data subject has a valid email address
2. the data subject registers to receive our newsletter. The data subject must confirm its submission using a double-opt-in procedure that verifies the submitted data's validity.
When registering, we store the IP address of the computer system used at the submission time and the registration date assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP). The data collection is necessary to trace the (possible) misuse of an email address at a later point in time and therefore serves as a legal safeguard for the controller.
The personal data collected is used exclusively for the newsletter dispatch. Furthermore, new subscribers get informed by email if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or a related registration, as could be the case in the event of changes to the newsletter offer or changes in the technical circumstances. No personal data collected as part of the newsletter service will get passed on to third parties. The consent to the storage of personal data, which a data subject has submitted, can be revoked at any time. Cancellation of a subscription is possible at any time. We always indicate a corresponding link to cancel a subscription on each dispatched newsletter.
The EAV Group newsletters do not contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic embedded in such emails that are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. It allows a study which indicates the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, EAV Group may see if and when a data subject opened an email and links the data subject called up in the email.
Such personal data collected via the tracking pixel contained in the newsletters are stored and analysed by the controller to optimise the newsletter dispatch and better tailor future newsletters' content to a data subject's interests. The personal data will not get disclosed to third parties. The data subject is entitled to revoke the separate declaration of consent given in this regard via the double-opt-in procedure. After a revocation, the data controller will delete this personal data. EAV Group automatically regards a withdrawal from the receipt of the newsletter as a revocation.
Based on statutory provisions, EAV Group website contains information that enables a quick electronic contact with our enterprise and direct communication with us, including a general address of the so-called electronic mail (email address). Personal data transmitted voluntarily by a data subject to the controller will be stored for processing or contacting the subject of the data. If a person affected contacts the controller by email or using a contact form, the personal data transmitted by the data subject would be stored automatically. Personal data will not get disclosed to third parties.
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics tool by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of how you use the website. The cookie-generated information about website interactions is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse how you use the website, compile reports on website activity and provide further services related to website and internet use to the website operator. However, if you are in a country that is a member state of the European Union or a contracting party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, and if IP address anonymisation is active on our website, Google will first truncate your IP address. Only by exception will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. Google will not combine the IP address transmitted by your browser via Google Analytics with other Google data. You can disable cookies by setting your browser accordingly. However, if you don't follow this process, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection and transfer of the data generated by cookies on www.european-av-group.com relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google, as well as the processing of such data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

You can learn to withdraw your consent using our cookie pop-up in the section Withdrawal of consent to use cookies and other identifiers/tags.
We would also like to point out that our website uses Google Analytics with the anonymizeIP extension so that IP addresses are only processed further in an abbreviated form to prevent them from being directly linked to a particular individual.
You can find more detailed information about the function of Google Analytics and the terms of use and privacy policy relevant to this service under http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/gb.html

We use Google Tag Manager to manage "website tags". Tags are small code elements on our website that run upon specific interactions with the website and send measured data to the third-party programs (e.g. Google Analytics). The Tag Manager triggers other tags that collect data and place cookies under certain circumstances (e.g., the third-party programs used). The Tag Manager does not access this data. The Tag Manager itself does not use cookies and does not collect any personal data.
